COUNTY WEED DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION OF KANSAS
MISSION
STATEMENT
The County Weed Directors Association of Kansas (CWDAK) is a state
organization representing county weed departments of Kansas. CWDAK objectives
are to improve the noxious weed program in Kansas, improve the status of county
weed directors, provide a forum to discuss common problems facing weed directors
and a general support of agriculture as well as noxious weed impacts on the
agriculture economics in Kansas.
STRATEGIC PLAN
The CWDAK has taken on numerous responsibilities from the Kansas Department of Agricultural (KDA) as well as from requests of the membership over the past several years. It is the boards objective to improve the awareness of noxious weeds through public relations, increase education of weed directors through the continuing education program, increase information of noxious weed related topics through the newsletter and promote unity and identification among directors through conferences as well as board and district meetings. The foundation of the weed program is the noxious weed law as well as local county support. Therefore, legislative changes that effect the noxious weed law or local counties remains a high priority as well. An important part of the strategic plan is yearly reviews to CWDAK goals.
